On-Call Part-Time

The Banquet Server –On call -As-Needed -Open Shift Availability is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service during private events, member functions, weddings, meetings, tournaments, and other banquet activities at The Club at Quail Ridge.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and are looking for flexible work opportunities. On call -As-Needed -Open Shift Availability banquet servers will be scheduled based on the club's event calendar and operational needs, with the primary focus being banquet and event service.

The successful candidate will consistently deliver warm, professional, and personalized service while helping create memorable experiences for our members and their guests.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous food and beverage service during banquet events and private functions.
• Set up, service, and break down banquet rooms, dining areas, buffets, bars, and event spaces according to established standards.
• Assist with table setup, including linens, china, glassware, silverware, chairs, tables, and other event equipment.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and other food and beverage offerings.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of banquet menus, event timelines, service standards, and member preferences.
• Work closely with the Banquet Manager, culinary team, bartenders, and other service staff to ensure smooth event execution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas throughout the event.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member and guest requests.
• Communicate any service issues, special requests, dietary concerns, or member feedback to the appropriate manager.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and club policies.
• Assist with post-event breakdown, cleaning, and proper storage of banquet equipment.
• Arrive on time and fully prepared for each scheduled event.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, restaurant, hotel, country club, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Previous serving experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on event needs.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Must be able to follow instructions and established service standards.
• Must be able to obtain any required food safety or alcohol-service certifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, banquet equipment, and supplies as required.
• Ability to move tables, chairs, and other event equipment with assistance when necessary.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and safely maneuver throughout banquet and event spaces.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.

Scheduling

This is an On call (as-needed - open shift availability). Employees will be scheduled according to the club's banquet calendar and staffing requirements. Availability may vary depending on the season and number of events. Employees should communicate their availability in advance and are expected to accept scheduled shifts and arrive prepared and on time.
