Position Summary
As a member of the hotel’s pre-opening leadership team, the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for setting up, organizing, and leading daily housekeeping operations to ensure brand compliance, operational readiness, and service excellence. This role oversees guestrooms, public areas, laundry, housemen, supplies, and linen and terry control to deliver a clean, comfortable, and consistent guest experience from opening day forward.
Pre-Opening Responsibilities
• Participate in brand onboarding and housekeeping training programs.
• Assist with setup of housekeeping operations, including linen rooms, storage areas, laundry, and equipment.
• Establish cleaning procedures and standards aligned with Holiday Inn Express brand guidelines.
• Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of housekeeping, laundry, and houseman team members.
• Conduct room and public area inspections to ensure hotel readiness prior to opening.
• Develop schedules, staffing plans, and productivity standards for the department.
Core Responsibilities (Post-Opening)
• Supervise daily housekeeping, laundry, and houseman operations.
• Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas meet brand cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Conduct inspections and provide coaching to maintain quality and consistency.
• Prepare schedules, assign daily work, and manage labor productivity based on business levels.
• Oversee inventory and ordering of housekeeping supplies, and complete month-end linen and terry inventories.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance to support room readiness, guest requests, and hotel upkeep.
• Monitor laundry operations, linen flow, and supply distribution to support daily operations.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and equipment-use standards are followed.
• Train and support team members while promoting accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.

• Conduct inspections and provide coaching to maintain cleanliness, quality, and productivity.
• Prepare schedules, assign daily tasks, and manage labor based on occupancy and business needs.
• Oversee housekeeping supplies, laundry flow, and complete month-end linen and terry inventories.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance to ensure room readiness and prompt resolution of hotel needs.
• Train, support, and motivate team members while maintaining safety and service standards.

• Previous housekeeping supervisory or management experience required.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of housekeeping leadership experience preferred.
• Hotel experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• IHG, Holiday Inn Express, or branded hotel experience preferred.
