Job Summary

Durango Cocina & Rooftop is seeking professional, guest-focused Bussers to join our upscale restaurant and rooftop hospitality team. This position is responsible for supporting dining room operations, maintaining cleanliness and organization, assisting service staff, and helping create an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent support to both guests and fellow team members. Bussers play a critical role in ensuring efficient service, clean dining areas, and smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and reset dining tables quickly and accurately according to restaurant standards.
• Clear tables promptly and professionally throughout service.
• Assist servers with delivering food, beverages, and guest requests as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, rooftop spaces, service stations, and guest-facing areas.
• Refill water, stock service supplies, and support overall dining room operations.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, polished, and welcoming environment for guests.
• Remove dishes, glassware, and utensils efficiently while maintaining guest comfort.
• Support the server, host, bar, kitchen, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor dining areas and proactively address cleanliness and organization needs.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Assist with opening, closing, side work, restocking, and additional duties assigned by management.
• Respond professionally and courteously to guest needs and requests.
• Notify management of any guest concerns or operational issues requiring attention.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hotel, hospitality, or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standard hospitality environment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry trays, dishes, and service items throughout shifts.
• Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with all team members.
• Must follow all company grooming, uniform, hygiene, and professional conduct standards.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an upscale restaurant, rooftop venue, hotel restaurant, lounge, banquet, or hospitality setting.
• Familiarity with restaurant service procedures and guest service standards.
• Experience assisting front-of-house teams during high-volume service periods.
• Ability to maintain professionalism while working efficiently in a busy environment.

Employment Type
