Overview:
To provide a warm, welcoming, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere while exceeding guest expectations by providing professional children's programs. To coordinate, implement, and provide entertainment while exceeding guest expectations and creating an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere resort wide.Tocreate and produce group recreation events.To service the beach and pool areas with rentals, towels and activities.
Responsibilities:
Essential Management Functions:
Prepare the Pool deck, Pool rentals for daily activities.
Responsible for the financial aspect of the department including budgeting, forecasting, and labor costs while increasing revenue and controlling expenses.
Continually enhance crafts, family activities, camps, games and experience throughoutourproperty.
Complete financial reports, control payroll, and monitor expenses.
Prepare the pool deck, camp room, pool/ Beach rentals for daily activities.
Maintain clear communication with essential departments.
Responsible for training and coachingof all associates within your department.
Fully understand and implement "Moments of Service."
Assist with routine cleaning of all recreation areas and equipment.
Isolate and analyze areas in need of improvement and take immediate action
Establish administrative rules and regulations,policies and procedures for the department
Foster positive relations with internal and external vendors.
Attend and participate in weekly manager meetings, monthly All Together Get together and ongoing training classes.
Responsible for all Recreation Attendants, Interns and department leaders holding them to established performance standards and excellent customer service.
Use the Omni culture to grow associates in a positive manner and develop ideas from their input.
Help develop long range plans for the department by setting and meeting yearly and monthly goals and objectives
Assist recreation supervisors in all operational aspects of the recreation department
Attend staff department meetings communicating pertinent information to associates, managers and the director.
To oversee and operate all social and group recreation programs and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of recreation facilities
Consistently and continually create, enhance, and develop existing recreation programs to include all ages and abilities.
Prepare purchase orders for the Recreation department using Omni purchasingpolicies.
Assist in all other aspects of the recreation department as needed.
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a validdriver’slicense with a satisfactory record that meets company standards to be able to drive company vehicles.
Activities/Entertainment:
Daily pool side activities/ JustForFamilies Events
Speak in front of an audience on a microphone
Inspire audience to participate in activities to enhance their guest experience
Energize the guests sitting on the pool decks
Contribute to creating unique activities to implement
Maintain activities supplies and equipment
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the information huts
Maintain the cleanliness of the pool decks
Responsible for upkeep of AV equipment
Keep accurate record of activity participants daily
Create an atmosphere of a themed ambiance to entertain social guest
Engage guests at events in different activities
Properly take care of and store equipment neatly for easy usage
Responsible for upkeep of AV equipment
Includes but is not limitedto: camp fires, divein movies, family recreation nights
Oversee the teen room, "Gamers"
Camp Counselor:
Properly complete and file waivers, registration, and take reservations
Appropriately communicate camp plans to the supervisor and manager through the proper paperwork
Prepare the camp room inthe themewhile making the atmosphere fun, inspiring, and neat
Responsible for cleaning up after the campers as camp continues throughout the day/night
Work well under pressure and demanding situations
Provide a caring and enthusiastic attitude for the children
Assure the safety of the children to the guardians dropping them off for camp
Implement at least one craft for each child to take home each day
Appropriately order and retrieve lunch/dinner for camp
Actively participate with the children’s activities such as swimming, biking, walking, and playing, when working with the childre
Keep accurate record of camp participants daily
Pool Deck/ Deck Cleanliness & Communication
Provide property-wide recreation information to all guests
Organize and Rent pool deckcabanas and luxury pool chairs
Monitor the cleanliness of the deck space
Organize the lounge chairs in an orderly fashio
Responsible for setting the umbrellas up and down dail
Group Recreation
Responsible for the planning and implementation of agendas, activities, children's camps, and the world of group recreation programs
Independently run programs
Professionally represent the department and be a professional point person for group contacts
Learn the booking procedures ofthird-partycompanies
Order supplies, keep equipment up to date and in workingconditions, and provide trained associates to implement the events
