Position Summary
The Assistant General Manager supports the overall operation of The Metric Hotel, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, efficient daily operations, and strong team performance. This role is highly hands-on and ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a modern, tech-enabled, limited-service hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping coordination, and guest services
  • Ensure smooth execution of contactless check-in/check-out systems and digital guest communications
  • Monitor property condition, cleanliness, and maintenance standards
  • Step in as Manager on Duty as needed

Guest Experience

  • Deliver a personalized, high-quality guest experience aligned with the hotel’s boutique brand
  • Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Monitor online reviews and guest feedback; implement improvements

Team Leadership

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing hotel staff
  • Supervise team performance and ensure adherence to service standards
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and service-driven culture

Revenue & Financial Performance

  • Support revenue management strategies including pricing and occupancy optimization
  • Monitor daily financial reports, labor costs, and operating expenses
  • Assist with budgeting and cost control initiatives

Sales & Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with leadership on local partnerships and guest acquisition strategies
  • Support marketing initiatives, including digital presence and reputation management

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and brand policies
  • Maintain security procedures and emergency readiness

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of hotel operations or hospitality management experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with boutique or limited-service hotels is a plus
  • Strong understanding of hotel PMS systems and hospitality technology
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
