We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Director of Sales to lead revenue strategy and sales efforts for our TownePlace Suites and Home2 Suites in West Lafayette, IN—two strong, extended-stay brands in a growing market.


The Opportunity:

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, market share, and brand positioning across both properties. You’ll lead proactive and reactive sales efforts, build strong client relationships, and collaborate closely with hotel leadership to maximize performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, group, and extended-stay segments
  • Manage and grow key accounts while building new client relationships
  • Lead proactive sales efforts including outside sales calls, networking, and community engagement
  • Collaborate with General Managers to align sales strategies with operational goals
  • Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and demand generators
  • Manage RFP processes and ensure strong brand representation
  • Utilize systems such as Marriott/ Hilton sales platforms, CRM tools, and reporting systems
  • Track and report on sales performance, forecasting, and pipeline activity
  • Represent both hotels in the local market and at industry events

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in hotel sales leadership (Director of Sales or Area Sales role preferred)
  • Experience with extended-stay brands (Marriott or Hilton preferred)
  • Strong track record of driving revenue growth and market share
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across two properties
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and highly organized
  • Knowledge of local West Lafayette / Purdue University market is a plus
