Are you a strategic Human Resources leader with a passion for hospitality and building high-performing teams?

We are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to serve as a trusted business partner to hotel leadership while leading all aspects of the Human Resources function. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for attracting top talent, fostering an engaged workforce, ensuring legal compliance, and creating a culture where team members can thrive.

The ideal candidate brings strong hotel HR leadership experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence leaders at all levels while balancing employee advocacy with organizational goals.

What You Will Be Doing

Strategic HR Leadership

• Collaborate with the General Manager and Executive Leadership Team to align people strategy with business goals.
• Drive workforce planning, succession planning, retention, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Lead organizational culture efforts that promote accountability, inclusion, and service excellence.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development

• Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top hospitality talent.
• Oversee the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding process.
• Create and support leadership development, training, and career advancement programs.
• Monitor staffing levels and turnover trends and implement effective retention solutions.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

• Serve as the primary resource for employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
• Coach department leaders on performance management, communication, and employee development.
• Ensure fair, consistent application of company policies and employment practices.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Oversee HR policies, personnel records, audits, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and leave administration.
• Ensure proper administration of employee relations practices and risk mitigation strategies.

Benefits & HR Administration

• Oversee benefit programs, leave administration, and employee wellness initiatives.
• Ensure accurate HRIS administration, reporting, recordkeeping, and data integrity.
• Analyze workforce metrics to support informed business decisions.

Qualifications

What Makes You You

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience in a hotel environment required.
• Experience supporting a full-service, luxury, resort, or multi-property hospitality operation strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, employment law, talent acquisition, and leadership coaching.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Proven ability to influence leaders, build trust, and drive organizational change.
• Excellent communication, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with HRIS systems, workforce analytics, and compliance reporting.
• Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are a plus.
