Job Summary:

 A Busser is responsible to set and clear restaurant tables; stock a l service stations and assist food servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with a l company safety policies and procedures 

● Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset a l service ware as prescribed. 

● Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for a l meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments. Wipe down booths and chairs, move tables and chairs, and clean floors as necessary. 

● Assist servers with food & beverage service to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth running of restaurant flow.  

● Transport al dirty tableware from the dining room to the dishwashing area for proper cleaning. 

● Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by the supervisor to adhere to health standards. 

● Perform al assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking side stations. 

● Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spi ls, handling special guest requests, greeting and seating guests and ensuring guest satisfaction. 

● Must maintain a high standard of service and ensure guest satisfaction. 

● Assist in keeping the back of the restaurant clean and organized. 

● Help fold napkins, keep restaurant linen containers empty, take soiled linen to housekeeping and replenish with fresh linen, re-polish the silverware, set up the back area and to organize the food pick up area. 

● Remove dirty dishes as wel as extra settings. 

● At the start of each shift ensure tables are set up according to service standards, with clean silverware and glassware. 

● Ensure empty tables are cleared and reset as soon as possible after they are vacated. 

● Must keep the working area clean and organized at al times. 

● Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory and proper condition of equipment and operating supplies. 

● To be fuly aware of the hotel’s licensing, fire and health and safety regulations. 

● To perform and assist with any other duties assigned from management. 

● The Busser/Dishwasher is responsible for keeping dishes clean and sanitized as we l as keeping the dining room clean and maintained. The Busser/Dishwasher responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Wash, rinse, and sanitize a l dishes. Keep dining room tables clean and bussed. 

● Perform other duties as assigned  

Minimum Qualifications: 

● Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 

● Well organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately. 

● Ability to operate point-of-sale systems. 

● Must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays 

Preferred Qualifications: 

● Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages. 

● Previous experience as a server preferred. 

● Must successfully complete a restaurant training course.   

Physical Requirements: 

● Prolonged periods of standing and walking. 

● Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
