Regional Director of Operations (Urgo Canada) Urgo Canada is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-oriented Regional Director of Operations to oversee a portfolio of hotels. This leader will be responsible for fostering operational excellence, maximizing financial performance, and promoting a culture of exceptional customer service across all managed properties.
Job Summary The Regional Director of Operations will be a key member of the management team, overseeing the regional directors and general managers. Your mission will be to ensure that each property meets Urgo Canada's standards of quality, profitability, and brand integrity.
Main responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with Urgo Canada's long-term business objectives.
- Financial oversight: Stimulate GOP and RevPAR growth; oversee budgeting, forecasting and capital expenditure planning for the portfolio.
- Operational Excellence: Implementing best practices in housekeeping, reception and catering to ensure top-notch customer satisfaction and property inspections.
- Talent management: Mentoring and developing general managers; cultivating a high-performance culture focused on retention and internal growth.
- Owner relations: Maintain strong relationships with hotel owners, providing transparent reports and strategic recommendations.
- Compliance: Ensure that all properties comply with provincial regulations, health and safety standards, and brand requirements.
Required qualifications- Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years in hotel management, including at least 2 years in a multi-unit management role (regional or corporate).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in hotel management, business administration or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, expert understanding of financial statements (P&L) and mastery of revenue management strategies.
- Languages: Proficiency in English required; professional proficiency in French is strongly preferred given the Canadian market.
