Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Housekeeping to lead housekeeping operations at our oceanfront property in Myrtle Beach.

This role is responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards, managing the housekeeping team, and ensuring rooms are turned efficiently without compromising quality. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and takes full ownership of department performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, inspections, and public areas
• Manage and schedule housekeeping staff to ensure efficient room turnaround
• Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high cleanliness standards
• Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping team members
• Monitor inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment; place orders as needed
• Coordinate with front desk and maintenance to prioritize room readiness
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company standards
• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly
• Improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a housekeeping leadership role (hotel/resort experience required)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
