Area Senior Sales Manager | Birmingham, AL | Lead 5 Hotels + New Opening Opportunity

Your portfolio:

You will lead sales efforts across a dynamic cluster of 5 hotels in Birmingham, AL, including:

  • Fairfield Inn & Suites
  • SpringHill Suites
  • Elyton Hotel
  • AC Hotel / Element (NEW OPENING)

The Role

As the Area Senior Sales Manager, you will lead the cluster sales strategy, drive revenue, and build long-term client relationships. You’ll work closely with property leadership and Regional Sales to maximize occupancy, grow market share, and elevate brand presence.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive top-line revenue across all assigned hotels
  • Execute strategic sales plans and achieve booking goals
  • Lead proactive sales efforts including outside sales calls, client meetings, and prospecting
  • Develop and grow key accounts and market segments
  • Analyze market trends, STAR reports, and competitive data to guide strategy
  • Partner with hotel leadership to align on sales, marketing, and operational goals
  • Represent properties at trade shows, networking events, and community engagements
  • Mentor and support on-property sales teams
  • Deliver exceptional service to build long-term client relationships

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of hotel sales experience (multi-property preferred)
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and market share growth
  • Strong knowledge of Marriott brands and sales strategies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and results-oriented
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and influence teams
  • Valid driver’s license (local travel required)
