Join our team as the Area Director of Sales! 

The Director of Area Sales (ADOS) is responsible for overseeing sales performance and fostering a strong sales culture within their assigned portfolio: Hampton Inn Vanderbilt West End and Hampton Inn Nashville Elliston. This leadership role is vital to driving total revenue performance for Aimbridge Hospitality. The ADOS is expected to work as needed to fulfill all job responsibilities and to ensure the success of the sales team and properties under their direction. The position supports a sales team selling for the same cluster.

KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guest and Employee Engagement: The role involves engaging professionally and attentively with guests and employees, maintaining regular attendance and appearance standards, and participating in meetings to promote a positive workplace culture. 
  • Operational Compliance and Safety: Maintaining compliance with all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and safety regulations is essential to ensure smooth and efficient operations, including consistently wearing the required attire and name tag during work hours. 
  • Sales Activity and Revenue Generation: Key responsibilities include conducting weekly sales activities such as telemarketing, cold calls, appointments, and site tours at assigned properties, as well as collaborating with leadership to maximize revenue through strategic follow-up and coordinated efforts.

  • Team Leadership and Development: The position involves supervising up to ten team members through work scheduling and planning, delivering training during staff meetings, and providing coaching to property sales staff to enhance overall team performance. 
  • Reporting and Strategic Implementation: Duties include submitting weekly sales reports, updating regional leadership, recording property visits, executing directives, and supporting sales and marketing efforts to boost performance. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience, or a 4-year degree with 2 years related experience, or a 2-year degree with 4 years hotel sales experience. 
  • Supervisory experience required; valid driver’s license in applicable state. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to evaluate options, solve problems, and remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in financial data analysis and basic arithmetic functions.
