Position Summary
As part of the hotel’s pre-opening team, the Maintenance Technician supports the setup, readiness, and ongoing upkeep of the property. This role helps ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are safe, functional, and well-maintained in accordance with brand standards. After opening, this position is responsible for completing routine maintenance, responding to repair requests, and assisting with the overall condition of the hotel. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Pre-Opening Responsibilities
• Participate in pre-opening training and brand onboarding sessions.
• Support preparation of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and safety systems.
• Assist in establishing preventative maintenance routines and procedures.

Core Responsibilities (Post-Opening)
• Perform routine preventative maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service calls.
• Troubleshoot and complete basic repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Support room readiness and overall hotel appearance.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with compliance with hotel and local safety standards.
• Work closely with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and other departments to address maintenance needs quickly and efficiently.

Candidate Profile
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, proactive, and service-oriented.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work preferred.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
