About Pod 51
Pod 51 is a lively Midtown East hotel known for its smart design, efficient rooms, and welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking a Front Desk Clerk to join our team. This role includes a mix of PM shifts and overnight shifts supporting the hotel’s night audit.
Position Overview
The Front Desk Clerk is responsible for providing excellent guest service while supporting front office operations. During overnight shifts, the role also assists with night audit functions and helps ensure the accuracy of the hotel’s daily financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Greet guests and manage check-in and check-out procedures
Provide assistance with guest requests, directions, and general hotel information
Answer phones and assist with reservations and inquiries
Maintain a professional and welcoming front desk presence
Assist with night audit functions, including reviewing daily transactions and preparing reports
Verify room charges, post transactions, and help balance daily revenue during overnight shifts
Monitor the lobby and hotel entrances during overnight hours
Communicate guest concerns or operational issues to management and the incoming shift
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Qualifications
Previous hotel front desk experience
Night audit experience a plus
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work PM shifts and two overnight shifts per week
Comfortable working independently
Experience with Stayntouch PMS a plus
Requirements
Must be able to obtain an S-95 Certificate of Fitness (Fire Alarm Systems)
Must be authorized to work in the United States
