For over two decades, we operated successfully as Packard Hospitality Management (PHM). Our journey began in 1998, when Michael and Carrin Goldstein took over PHM with a clear mission: to change how hotel management companies do business. They didn’t just want to collect management fees—they wanted to earn them, every day.

Armed with a 500-square-foot office in San Diego, one hotel, two HOAs, and a two-person team, they built the company from the ground up. Their approach was simple but rare: lead with integrity, serve with commitment, and always raise the bar.

That mindset still drives Avalon today.

We’re now a nationwide, full-service hospitality operator. From property management to development and capital improvements, we deliver custom solutions that help owners outperform the market.
