Responsibilities:
- Effectively maintain accounts to achieve business objectives.
- Identify and stay abreast of industry trends to provide leadership and education
- Work closely with DOSMs to effectively communicate new trends and develop strategies to increase revenue.
- Responsible for management of customer decisions and the relationship process.
- Responsible for directing and leading activities through internal and external resources.
- Work closely with all levels of the organization to resolve complex issues or concerns; communicating in a clear concise manner.
- Ensure full maximization of rooms potential.
- Maintain emphasis on exceeding established group rate guidelines.
- Assist Director of Sales & Marketing in developing, maintaining, and implementing strategies/ action plans to generate revenues for the hotel.
- Stimulate productivity of all sales staff through guidance, development, and support.
- Develop, maintain, and implement creative packages to fill identified need periods in all markets.
- Active solicitation of key accounts to generate direct sales.
- Maintain Sales Team’s focus on a Proactive Solicitation environment.
- Assist Director of Sales & Marketing in the achievement of overall Food and Beverage revenue.
- Develop, maintain, and implement the group rooms budgeting and forecasting process.
- Ensure that all administrative procedures are in place and functioning effectively.
- Ensure that all required reports are completed on a timely basis.
- Promote high visibility of hotel through active involvement in industry associations and trade shows.
- Ensure a challenging and exciting environment to encourage full career development and personal growth.
Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of Hotel sales experience in a Senior Sales or Director role.
- Must be a self-starting team player that contributes positive energy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Excellent ability to conduct group presentations, written and oral.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize when necessary.
- Strong business planning, account planning and budget management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be creative to develop strategies that will drive revenue.
- Demonstrated ability to tie strategies and planned actions to results.
- Strong financial/statistical analysis and business case development skills.
- Strong understanding and expertise in the sales process.
- Extensive experience with account management.
- Proficient in use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Travel – 25%.
