The opportunity
Delaware North’s Patina Group is hiring Seasonal Pastry Cooks to join our team at Stella 34 in New York, New York. As a Baker, you will prepare the bakery products at Stella 34 and ensure all items are served in a timely manner with the highest freshness and quality.
The season starts in October and runs through January.
Pay
$22.00 – $25.00 / hour

What will you do?
- Follow recipes portion sizes and quality standards
- Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked, and utilize kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as knives, slicers, pots, steamers, and ovens
- Ensure proper baking temperatures are maintained, and food is stored correctly
- Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines
More about you
- 1-2 years of pastry experience required
- Basic math skills with the ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team player, following procedures and taking directions
- Capacity to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to remain standing for the entire length of the shift while also walking, bending, reaching, and performing other repetitive motions

Stella 34 Trattoria is a modern Italian restaurant inside of Macy’s flagship store in New York. The restaurant features sixth-floor views of the Empire State Building, wood-burning ovens and serves lunch, dinner, brunch and drinks. It also features a Cibi Ronda, an Italian take-away counter, and the New York home to Italy's finest gelateria, Vivoli.
