Immerse yourself in the bustling energy of Bud’s Restaurant at the iconic La Playa Hotel. A gem nestled in the scenic town of Carmel by the Sea, our venue is beloved by both locals and worldwide travelers for its unique blend of charm and sophistication. Here, every meal is a celebration of culinary arts and every team member is essential in crafting unforgettable dining experiences.
We are currently inviting an enthusiastic individual to embrace the role of Dishwasher/Steward, contributing to our evening service excellence.
Essential Duties
- Meticulously wash, dry, and sanitize dishes, ensuring a sparkling presentation for every guest.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in all storage and refrigeration areas, fully compliant with health regulations.
- Support a pristine kitchen environment, adhering strictly to health department guidelines.
- Assist in various culinary operations as guided by our Executive Chef and other culinary leaders.
Your Profile
Experience: While this is an entry-level role, prior experience is an asset.
Certifications: A Food Service Worker card is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A good grasp of basic kitchen preparations and sanitation standards.
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, and slicers.
- Commitment to adhering to health department’s regulations.
- A keen ability to memorize and apply our service standards.

- Strong communication: Must be able to effectively share and receive information.
- Professional appearance: Must align with our workplace grooming standards.
