Housekeeping Supervisor

Full-Time

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays an important leadership role in creating an exceptional guest experience at Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort. This position supports the daily operation of the Housekeeping department by supervising Room Attendants and Housepersons, inspecting guest rooms and public areas, maintaining Omni cleanliness and presentation standards, and ensuring associates have the tools, training, and support needed to succeed.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong attention to detail, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced resort environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Housekeeping associates throughout daily operations.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites, corridors, and assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards are consistently achieved.
• Assign daily work responsibilities and help coordinate staffing based on occupancy, arrivals, departures, and operational needs.
• Monitor room status and communicate closely with the Front Office to support timely room availability.
• Coach, train, recognize, and provide ongoing feedback to Housekeeping associates.
• Conduct daily lineup meetings and communicate resort information, service expectations, safety topics, and operational priorities.
• Ensure associates follow proper cleaning procedures, safety standards, chemical-handling procedures, and Omni policies.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and service opportunities.
• Report maintenance concerns and follow up to ensure guest room deficiencies are addressed.
• Monitor linen, guest supplies, cleaning products, and equipment to help maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Assist with lost-and-found procedures and proper documentation.
• Help maintain productivity while ensuring quality and guest satisfaction remain top priorities.
• Promote teamwork and positive communication within Housekeeping and with other resort departments.
• Support department leadership with special projects, deep-cleaning programs, training initiatives, and other operational needs.
• Lead by example and demonstrate Omni's commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Housekeeping leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel/resort experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach and motivate associates while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced operation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team.
• Basic computer and hotel systems knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on resort needs, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with a Housekeeping operation.
