The opportunity
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a Sales Manager to join our team supporting Holiday Inn Estes Park in Estes Park, Colorado. This remote position is based in the Denver market and requires travel to the property at least once per month.
In this role, you will drive group sales revenue by securing new business opportunities, with a focus on corporate and association markets, while cultivating and growing existing client relationships. You will build strong partnerships with group organizers and on-property teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve or exceed revenue goals.
Working primarily from a remote office, you will actively prospect and develop new group business throughout the Denver area. While the position is largely remote, occasional on-site presence at the property is required to support client relationships, property tours, and key business initiatives.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $55,000 – $62,200 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
- Actively prospect to expand client database and drive new group revenue opportunities
- Secure group bookings and maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous and potential new clients
- Build relationships with meeting planners, corporate contacts, and community organizations to promote Holiday Inn Estes Park and meet department and property revenue goals
- Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented
- Coordinate various departments participation in servicing accounts
- Prepare and execute contracts and ensure quality products and service are delivered
- Maintain positive client and guest relations and be their point of contact for event inquiries
More about you
- Minimum of 3 years of previous sales manager experience in the events and hospitality industry, preferably with hotel sales experience
- Corporate and association market group sales experience preferred
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with IHG systems is a plus but not a requirement
- No degree required
- Roughly 5 percent of business travel is required, which may include evenings and weekends
- Must be based in the Denver, CO area
