Compensation: $7.67 to $8.52 per hour
Essential Functions:
- Knowledge of fine dining service.
- Must have full familiarity with menus.
- Must have full knowledge of beverage offerings/promotions.
- Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
- To polish and clean the water glasses and flatware in his/her assigned station before opening hours.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager or supervisor.
- Complete all assigned side work duties
- Service to guests.
- Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
- Complete cleanliness of all dining areas, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:
- Knowledge of hotel property and downtown area
- Familiarity with all food and beverage promotions.
Tools and Equipment:
- Computer and printer, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine,
file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine
Working Environment:
- Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.
- Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
- Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
- Exposure to food items and beverages.
Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)
Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/ Carrying
- Lifting trays, equipment, dishware, etc up to 50 pounds.
- Pushing, pulling racks, queen marys, etc up to 75 pounds
- Carrying orders, equipment up to 25 pounds
- Bending up to 30% of shift retrieving equipment, tray removal, etc
- Continuous movement throughout hotel – 80% of shift
- Continuous standing to fill, check, deliver orders 60% of shift
- No climbing required
- No driving required
- Inside 100% of work period (usually 8 hours)
- Hearing is moderate (Able to communicate with guest one-on-one. Accommodations may be provided)
- Vision is critical (Emphasis on cleanliness standards, quality control and continuous movement throughout hotel)
- Speech is moderate (Able to communicate with guest one-on-one)
- Literacy is critical (Ability to take and communicate orders from guests and respond to special requests)
- Cleaning chemicals and Sterno used
- None required
- Computer, cash register, calculator, coffee maker, toaster
