Ascent Hospitality is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Area Catering & Sales Manager to drive catering, group, and overall sales opportunities across our Birmingham, Alabama hotel portfolio.

This is an onsite leadership opportunity. Candidates must be open to relocating to the Birmingham, AL market.

What You’ll Do

Develop and execute strategic catering and sales plans to grow revenue and market share across multiple hotels.
Generate new business through outside sales calls, networking, prospecting, and community involvement.
Identify and secure corporate, group, social, wedding, meeting, and event opportunities.
Build strong relationships with meeting planners, businesses, organizations, and key community partners.
Lead the catering and event sales process from initial inquiry through closing and execution.
Manage and grow existing accounts while consistently pursuing new business opportunities.
Conduct hotel tours, client presentations, site visits, and sales appointments.
Partner with General Managers, operations, and marketing teams to ensure exceptional guest and client experiences.
Track sales activity, forecasting, revenue, and performance using Delphi, CI/TY, STS, and other hotel systems.

What We’re Looking For

2–3+ years of hotel sales, catering, or event sales experience.
Marriott and/or Hilton experience strongly preferred.
Proven success in outside sales, catering, group sales, prospecting, and business development.
Strong negotiation, presentation, closing, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent understanding of meetings, events, group business, and catering sales.
Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to manage multiple hotels and priorities.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Experience with Delphi, CI/TY, STS, or similar hotel sales platforms is a plus.
