We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead the sales efforts of our full-service Marriott hotel in Huntsville, Alabama.

Lead sales for a full-service Marriott hotel in the thriving Huntsville market.
Capitalize on business from aerospace, defense, government, technology, corporate, association, group, and leisure segments.
Leverage a strong meetings and events product with 20,000+ sq. ft. of flexible event space.
Build relationships with major organizations and businesses throughout the Huntsville market.
Partner with the General Manager and Revenue Management team to develop and execute the hotel's commercial strategy.
Coach and develop a sales team while creating a culture of accountability and high performance.
Identify new business opportunities, grow key accounts, and aggressively pursue market share.
Represent a unique Marriott property in one of Alabama's most dynamic hospitality markets.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute the hotel's annual sales and marketing strategy.
Drive group, corporate, government, SMERF, and leisure business.
Develop new accounts while strengthening existing client relationships.
Lead sales calls, client visits, networking, community engagement, and industry events.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities.
Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
Lead, coach, and hold the sales team accountable to individual and departmental goals.
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, budgets, and performance updates.
Collaborate with Operations, Catering, Revenue Management, and hotel leadership to ensure a seamless guest and client experience.

What We're Looking For

3–5+ years of hotel sales leadership experience, preferably in a full-service or branded hotel.
Proven success generating group and corporate business.
Strong understanding of the Huntsville market or experience selling into comparable business markets.
Experience leading, coaching, and developing a sales team.
Strong negotiation, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
Revenue-focused mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
Proficiency with hotel sales systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Marriott experience is strongly preferred.
