The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Security Officer to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Security Guard, you will maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. Shift: Monday, 7:45 PM – 4:15 AM, Saturday, 3:45 PM – 12:00 AM & Sunday, 7:45 PM – 4:15 AM.
Pay
$21.25 – $21.25 / hour

What will you do?
- Enforce gaming rules and regulations of the NYC Gaming Commission.
- Patrol the facilities, pedestrian and mobile patrol; provide security for special functions.
- Drive a motorized vehicle when needed
- Enforce all department, unit and company policies and procedures, including alcohol service protocols.
- Observe and report incidents, procedural violations and illegal activity.
- Fill out departmental log forms, verify all paperwork is complete and turned in at end of shift.
- Assist with fires, wind storms, floods, blizzards, evacuations, and other emergencies as directed.
More about you
- Must possess a New York state Security Guard license
- Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain customer goodwill.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical requirements
- Requires the ability to see, hear, walk, run, sit, squat, bend, reach and grasp objects throughout the shift in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds.
