POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Operations / Hotel Director serves as the second-in-command of the hotel complex and as the primary operational partner to the General Manager. This role oversees all daily operations, ensures operational excellence across all departments, fosters exceptional customer experience, and supports the achievement of financial objectives in accordance with Hilton standards, URGO expectations, and property objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Leadership

• Ensure complete supervision of daily operations of both properties;
• Ensure smooth and consistent execution of operations across the following departments: Rooms, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Guest Experience;
• Act as the primary operational decision-maker in the absence of the General Manager;

Team Management

• Lead, support, mobilize, and develop department heads;
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and succession development;
• Promote a leadership culture focused on performance and excellence;

Financial Performance

• Optimize productivity, labor management, and expense control;
• Analyze key operational performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective action plans;
• Contribute to achieving budget objectives and improving profitability;

Strategic Collaboration

• Transform owner and executive leadership directives into concrete operational actions and results;
• Collaborate closely with owners, URGO management, and Hilton corporate representatives;
• Lead the implementation of major operational initiatives.

Guest Experience

• Be an ambassador for service excellence and customer satisfaction;
• Ensure preparation for Hilton quality audits (QA) and compliance with brand standards;
• Oversee the management of service recovery situations and continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive hotel management experience;
• Experience in senior leadership in a full-service hotel or in managing two properties, an asset;
• Strong expertise in financial and operational management;
• Knowledge of Hilton systems and standards, an important asset;
• Bilingualism in French and English required;
• Excellent executive presence and strong decision-making ability.
