Job Overview
North Shore Country Club is seeking skilled and passionate Line Cooks to join our culinary team.

We are currently looking for the following:

• Full Time: Candidates will have open availability with at least 3 years of experience.
• Part Time/Seasonal: Candidates will have availability between May 1st and September 13th for 9am - 3pm shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The full time role requires night and weekend availability, at least one reference.

Full time and part time roles require passing background check.

This role is ideal for a passionate food professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment and/or outdoor area. As a line cook at our private country club, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality meals for our members and guests, ensuring consistency, food safety, cleanliness, and exceptional presentation at all times.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Ensure the highest quality of food preparation and presentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with prep work, daily mise en place, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to execute daily menus, including à la carte service, banquet functions, and special events.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.
• Monitor portion control, waste, and quality control measures.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold the club’s commitment to excellence and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a line cook or similar role within the food industry.
• Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Experience in fine dining or catering is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with dietary department operations or as a dietary aide is a plus.
• Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal preparation.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
