Director of Finance for an Award-Winning Atlanta-Based Hospitality Group
Compensation: $135,000 to $175,000 per year
Director of Finance
Electric Hospitality | Atlanta, GA
ABOUT ELECTRIC HOSPITALITY
Electric Hospitality is an award-winning Atlanta-based hospitality group behind brands including Ladybird, Muchacho, Tiger Sun, Ranger Station and Electric Events. We create high-energy, design-forward spaces that bring people together through food, drink, and culture.
We currently own and operate 7 properties and are entering a major growth phase with several new restaurant openings in development with additional real estate opportunities on the horizon. To support this growth we are building a best-in-class internal finance and accounting function that operates with speed, clarity and precision.
THE ROLE
We are hiring a Director of Finance to serve as the financial and strategic right hand to our CEO and leadership team.
This is not a back-office accounting role. The Director of Finance is an integral senior leader responsible for the financial decision-making that will allow Electric Hospitality to scale with confidence. You will own the numbers, drive the insight and help shape our growth.
You will report directly to the CEO, oversee finance and accounting, and work closely with operations, development, and key external partners. The ideal candidate can both build the systems and lead the function — moving fluidly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution when the moment demands it.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
Serve as the senior finance leader and strategic partner to the CEO and executive team
Translate financial performance into clear, actionable guidance that drives operational and investment decisions
Develop and maintain a financial roadmap aligned to growth, capital needs, and profitability targets
Own the company's financial narrative — internally for leadership and externally for lenders, investors and partners
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead quarterly/annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning across all entities and concepts
Own weekly/monthly/quarterly financial KPI dashboard
Build and maintain unit-level and P&L models, consolidated financials and cash flow forecasting
Develop scenario models and budgets for new unit openings, concept launches, and capital investments
Partner with marketing on sales initiatives and operations on labor, COGS, and margin improvement initiatives
3. Accounting & Reporting Oversight
Oversee accounting team’s monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all entities (target: ≤10 business days)
Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial reporting across all properties
Deliver clear and timely financial dashboards for leadership — unit-level P&Ls, consolidated view, cash visibility
Identify and communicate variances vs. budget and prior periods with root-cause and solution insight
4. Capital, Cash & Treasury
Manage cash flow, cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity planning across the portfolio
Support capital raises, debt facilities and lender relationships as the company grows
Oversee bank and treasury relationships, covenant reporting, and debt compliance obligations
Partner on real estate, development and new concept financial structuring
5. Controls, Compliance & Risk
Maintain strong internal controls across all locations and entities
Ensure compliance with sales tax, payroll tax, alcohol licensing, and entity-level obligations
Coordinate with external CPA firm and legal on tax strategy, filings, and year-end audit or review
Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and reporting risks before they become problems
6. Systems, Infrastructure & Technology
Own and optimize the finance and accounting tech stack
Build scalable processes for AP/AR, inventory accounting, reconciliations and reporting
Continually improve efficiency across finance and accounting by automating tasks, reducing manual entry, improving data accuracy and accelerating core processes
7. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, manage and develop the finance and accounting team
Own and maintain standards for accuracy, accountability, and timeliness across the team
Champion a culture of servant leadership and continuous improvement
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience
8–12+ years in finance and accounting, with meaningful leadership tenure
Prior experience as Director of Finance, Head of Finance or Controller — ideally in a multi-unit restaurant or hospitality group
Proven track record of building finance and accounting functions from early stage through growth stage
Experience partnering directly with a CEO or executive team in a strategic capacity
Multi-unit hospitality, restaurant, or retail background strongly preferred
Technical Skills
Deep knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity financial reporting
Strong financial modeling and FP&A capabilities — not just reporting, but forecasting and scenario planning
Experience with restaurant accounting platforms (Restaurant365, Toast, etc.) and general accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
Proficiency with cash flow forecasting, POS integrations, revenue reconciliation, food & labor cost modeling, and NRO budgets
Leadership & Mindset
Strategic thinker who can zoom out to see the full picture — and zoom in to fix what's broken
Operator mentality: builds systems, not just reports
Exceptional communicator — can translate complex financials into clear, concise decisions for non-finance leaders
High ownership, high accountability, comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
Genuinely excited by the restaurant and hospitality industry — not just passing through
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
The Director of Finance at Electric Hospitality will help determine how we grow, where we invest, and what we build next. You will be the financial architect behind:
A growing portfolio of restaurant and event concepts across Atlanta
New concept launches and multi-unit expansion
Potential hotel, real estate, and development projects
Capital strategy as the company scales toward a larger platform
This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact finance leadership role at a brand-led hospitality company — and to help shape what it looks like to build something great.
COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
Performance bonus tied to company and individual milestones
Benefits package (health, PTO, etc.)
Long-term growth potential — this role is built to scale with the company.
LOCATION
Atlanta, GA — in-person, with flexibility for the right candidate.
