Hidden within the inner gardens of Pulitzer Amsterdam, Pulitzer Garden is a lively all day dining concept where guests come together to enjoy fresh Mediterranean inspired dishes, great cocktails, and relaxed hospitality in a beautiful outdoor setting. From sunny lunches to buzzing summer evenings, no service is ever quite the same.

Beyond the restaurant itself, the kitchen also plays an important role in supporting banqueting and events throughout Pulitzer Amsterdam, creating a dynamic environment where variety and teamwork are part of every shift.

The kitchen is led by Italian Chef de Cuisine Christian Baldassini, bringing a strong focus on fresh ingredients, vibrant flavours, and a collaborative kitchen culture.

We are looking for a Demi Chef de Partie who is passionate about food, enjoys working in a fast paced kitchen environment, and wants to grow within a supportive and ambitious team.

Your shift starts with preparing the mise en place for service. You organise your section, prepare fresh ingredients, and support the Chef de Partie in creating a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

During service, you help prepare and plate dishes with consistency, speed, and attention to detail. The atmosphere in Pulitzer Garden is energetic and dynamic, especially during sunny days and busy evenings, so teamwork and communication are key.

Alongside restaurant service, you also support the preparation of dishes for banqueting and events across the hotel, bringing variety to the role and allowing you to develop across different styles of service.

At the same time, you maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, follow HACCP standards, and support your colleagues wherever needed. No two shifts are ever the same, and you stay flexible, focused, and hands on throughout the day.

• You prepare mise en place for lunch, dinner, and banqueting service.
• You support the Chef de Partie during daily operations and service.
• You help prepare and present dishes with consistency and care.
• You ensure ingredients are stored, labelled, and handled correctly.
• You work according to HACCP and food safety standards.
• You help maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen.
• You support stock control and minimise waste where possible.
• You contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but we believe passion, motivation, and the right mindset are just as important as experience.
• You are eager to learn, enjoy working in a busy environment, and bring positive energy into the kitchen every day.
• You are organised, flexible, and reliable.
• You work well under pressure and have a strong eye for detail.
• You enjoy working as part of a team and are eager to continue developing yourself.
• You are comfortable working evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
