About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Hotel General Manager to lead operations at a full-service, nationally recognized branded hotel located along the busy I-40 corridor in Amarillo, TX. This property serves a diverse mix of business travelers, groups, and leisure guests, and requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and Sales
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share through strategic leadership
• Ensure brand standards and guest service expectations are consistently met or exceeded
• Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and team members
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance (P&L accountability)
• Maintain strong relationships with ownership, vendors, and brand representatives
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and operational regulations
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of Hotel General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a full-service property
• Strong financial acumen with proven success managing budgets and driving profitability
• Experience working with major hotel brands and understanding of brand standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and retain high-performing teams
• Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence in daily operations
• Experience with hotel management systems (PMS), revenue management, and reporting tools
