Golf Shop Retail Attendant (Seasonal)

Overview:

Responsible for Assisting the Golf Professionals in the Golf Shop and Outside Operationswithgiving the highest customer service andmaintaining the golf shop in an appealing manner.

Salary for this position is (based on experience): $19.00/hour.Seasonal Associates at Omni Interlocken are entitled to select benefits based on hours worked. Omni Interlocken reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.

Responsibilities:

• Enthusiastic greeting of customers (by name if possible)

• Display conduct in an appropriate manner at all timesin accordance withthe Omni Hotels

• Working knowledge of operation (27 holes, practice facility, etc.)

• Render professional advice, opinions,assistance, and services asrequired.

• Perform duties and meet requirements for sales, rentals, tournament golf leagues, and services which the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Assistant Professionalsdeemsnecessary.

• Book starting time reservations

• Promote the interests of the resortinproviding service to theguest.

• Assistin presentation of golf shop

• Assist Merchandise Manager with any inventory counts.

• Maintain and balance daily cashregister.

• Provide acustomer friendlyenvironment.

• Ability to answer any questions related to resort.

• Handle registration of players.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak, read,write and understand English.

• Must be able to read and write tofacilitatethe communication process.  

• Requiresgood communicationskills, both verbal and written.

• Mustpossessbasic computational ability.  

• Thorough understanding of course rotationand teetime arrangement.

• Mustpossess computer skills, including Microsoft Office,Exceland PowerPoint.

• Physical Requirements:

• Ability toreach,bend, stoop andlift upto 50lbs

• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel ona timelybasis.

• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

• Talking and hearing occur continuouslyin the process of communicatingwith guests,supervisorsand other employees.

• Ability to work in a standing and mobile position forlong periodsof time.

• Must be 18 years or older.
