Run the House at Pod 51: Executive Housekeeper / Director of Housekeeping

Pod 51 is seeking an experienced and highly organized Executive Housekeeper / Director of Housekeeping to lead day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department. This role is responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards across guest rooms and public spaces while managing team performance, scheduling, and departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
Lead, train, and manage housekeeping staff, including supervisors and room attendants
Manage and schedule staff
Maintain strict cleanliness, sanitation, and brand standards
Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas
Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls
Coordinate closely with Front Office and Maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations
Address guest requests and resolve service issues quickly and professionally
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations

Qualifications

2-3 years of housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel environment (NYC experience preferred)
Experience working with unionized teams strongly preferred
Strong operational knowledge of housekeeping systems, procedures, and standards
Proven ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency and efficiency
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and cost control
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
