We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving growth initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and outreach efforts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Conduct competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities
  • Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and key performance metrics
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote the company’s offerings
  • Build strong mutually beneficial relationships with decision makers throughout the various organizations and companies
  • Coordinate and negotiate rates for Local Negotiated Accounts
  • Manage and grow key corporate accounts as assigned
  • Prepare customized proposals and agreements based on the client’s needs, wants and budgets along with the hotel’s capabilities
  • Be able to work with internal stakeholders to ensure success
  • Represent the hotel at events, tradeshows

Requirements

  • 1 – 5 years of previous experience in hotel group sales
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
  • Excellent negotiation, closing and presentation abilities
  • Ability to analyze market data and identify growth opportunities
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to reaching targets
  • Education in hospitality management, sales, or related field
  • A passion for discovering the hidden gems and turning them into diamonds
  • Knowledge of Opera, Cvent, CRM, Agency 360 and other hospitality tools
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
