Project Manager – Multifamily Construction & Renovations
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to oversee multifamily construction and capital improvement projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for managing renovations, value-add upgrades, new development phases, and property improvement initiatives across our portfolio.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, financially disciplined, and experienced in multifamily construction environments. They must be able to manage multiple active projects while maintaining strict timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of multifamily construction and renovation projects.
Manage capital improvement projects including unit renovations, exterior upgrades, amenities, roofing, paving, and common area improvements.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control.
Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and manage vendors and subcontractors.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality standards.
Coordinate closely with property managers, ownership, and executive leadership.
Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Provide consistent project reporting including timelines, budget updates, and milestone tracking.
Qualifications
3+ years of project management experience in construction (multifamily preferred).
Experience managing occupied renovation projects is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of construction methods, permitting, and safety standards.
Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
