Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 per year

Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort & Spa is seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Residences Finance Manager.
JOB SUMMARY
Supports the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes, including support to clients as they work with and understand these processes. Performs accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy resolution.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience:
• 4-year bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting or related major and
• 5 years or more of progressive experience in finance and accounting with real estate accounting exposure a plus.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems, as necessary.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
• Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.
• Coordinates, implements and follows up on Accounting SOP audits for all areas of the property related to Residences.
• Coordinates, implements and assists with internal and external Audits.
• Complies with Federal and State laws applying to fraud and collection procedures.
• Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
• Ensures that all accounting and financial reporting functions are in line with Company standards.
• Records, stores, accesses, and/or analyzes computerized financial information.
• Prepares, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting reports and tables.
• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Compiles, codes, categorizes, calculates, tabulates, audits, or verifies information or data.
• Provides strata accounting (Homeowner Association Accounting) for all the property’s community associations/stratas.
• Provides reserve accounting for Master Strata and Garages.
• Completes bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations as assigned.
• Assists in the reconciliation of ledger balances as necessary.
• Produces monthly financial statements, budget preparations and reconciliation of monthly financial records.
• Balances credit card ledgers.
• Verifies contracts for groups and performs credit reference checks for direct billed groups if necessary.
• Oversees cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, accounts payable, Residences’ payroll and risk management.
• Prepares statements of accounts for unit owners for monthly reporting, collections and/or for sale of units as needed.
• Assists with document accumulation related to unit sales and updates Residence owner rosters with all required information.

• Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
• Ensures profits and losses are documented accurately.
• Ensures compliance with national and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors and filing financial reports as necessary.
• Monitors all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued, including those related to Residences operations.
• Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
• Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
• Completes period end functions, closing procedures and reports each period as specified.
• Provides status of financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting, and reporting key financial data.
• Acts as a liaison between the owners and management regarding and ensuring that all financial related needs are fulfilled and represented.
• Guides financial decisions established by Strata Executive Committee and accordingly by management and/or service agreements, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Provides direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
