Job Summary

Sun Outdoors Ocean City (formerly Castaways RV Resort) is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Retail Cashier (Seasonal) to join our team. As the first point of contact in our on-site retail store, you will provide exceptional customer service while efficiently handling guest purchases and transactions. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced resort environment while assisting guests and helping create a positive and welcoming shopping experience. The Retail Cashier is responsible for accurately processing payments and maintaining proper cash-handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process guest transactions, including cash, credit cards, and house charges
• Verify purchase totals and ensure all transactions are completed correctly
• Provide excellent customer service and address guest questions or concerns in a professional manner
• Follow cash-handling and accounting guidelines for cash drawer and house bank management
• Balance and secure the house bank at the end of each shift
• Maintain compliance with Point of Sale (POS) procedures and resort policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Guest service experience required; retail or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet use
• Basic math skills required for cash handling, making change, and balancing drawers
• Ability to resolve guest concerns calmly and effectively
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with guests
• Ability to operate POS systems and cashier equipment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods

• Schedule: Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
