Area Sales Coordinator

Full-Time

We are looking to add an AreaSales Coordinator who will be assisting the sales teams for multiple hotels in promoting its services, client relationships and ensuring smooth operations to drive revenue. You will manage all areas of sales according to Island Hospitality Management and Brand Standards to achieve a professional rapport within the local business community. Our Area Sales Coordinator assists with promotional materials, and administrative duties and is in constant contact with the hotel General Managers and Directors of Sales.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Job Requirements

• Involved in community and/or government affairs to ensure effective marketing of the hotel
• Demonstrate commitment to guest service by responding to guest needs
• Develop and implement marketing and sales plans based on demand segments and to maximize REVPAR and Market Share Understand why competitors are successful in each demand segment and directly market/sell against the competition
• Know key accounts and actively "sells" through sales calls, property tours, strategic marketing, etc.
• Prepare required reports for the management team
• Maintain vendor and client information where necessary Collaborate with Front Office Team to ensure the details of the group and special corporate directives are executive properly and you are striving to achieve the same goals

• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary

• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
