Position Title: Hotel Manager

Start Date: Week of February 16, 2026
Set Schedule: 40 hours per week

• Monday: 8am–5pm
• Tuesday/Wednesday: Off
• Thursday: 8am–5pm
• Friday: 8am–5pm
• Saturday: 11am–5pm
• Sunday: 8am–3pm

Position Summary

The Hotel Manager oversees the daily operations of Wanderstay Boutique Hotel. This role blends hands-on leadership with operational oversight, guest experience management, staff supervision, and revenue-focused decision-making.

This is an ideal role for a hospitality professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats, leading a small team, and contributing directly to a growing independent brand.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience

• Oversee daily hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance
• Monitor guest feedback, resolve issues, and maintain high satisfaction ratings
• Ensure property cleanliness, safety, and brand standards

Team Leadership

• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff
• Foster a positive, accountable, and guest-focused team culture
• Ensure consistent service delivery and adherence to policies

Financial & Revenue Management

• Manage budgets, expenses, and basic financial reporting
• Implement revenue and yield strategies to optimize occupancy and ADR

Marketing, Sales & Partnerships

• Support marketing initiatives to increase visibility and direct bookings
• Build relationships with local businesses and community partners
• Assist with group bookings, events, and special packages

Inventory, Vendors & Property Care

• Manage inventory and ordering hotel supplies
• Oversee preventative maintenance and repairs

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality management (boutique hotel, independent hotel, or similar)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Financial and operational awareness in a small- to medium-property environment
• Cultural competency and passion for inclusive guest experiences
• Knowledge of the Houston hospitality market is a plus
• Degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits

• $60,000 annual salary paid bi-weekly + $1,000 Relocation + Profit Sharing (after 1 year)
• 10 days annual paid leave (rolls over annually)
• Health & Wellness annual reimbursement ($500)
