Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary host and visible leader of the dining room
- Oversee daily service flow including reservations, seating, pacing, and guest experience
- Lead from the floor during service, stepping in wherever needed to support the team
- Train and guide the team in wine knowledge, building confidence to sell naturally
- Lead regular wine training focused on storytelling, pairing, and guest connection
- Create simple wine games and incentives to engage the team and drive thoughtful sales
- Manage wine ordering, inventory and organization
- Lead, train, and develop the front-of-house team through coaching and example
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns with professionalism and grace
- Manage group dining, small weddings, and private events with attention to detail
- Collaborate closely with culinary and resort leadership for seamless execution
- Set up dining and event spaces with creativity, taste, and precision
- Maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, and presentation
- Support and enforce safety, sanitation, and service standards
