What Will You Do?
- Ensure guest rooms and areas are operational for guest comfort and safety.
- Apply your technical prowess to troubleshoot and execute timely repairs.
- Respond to guest requests with promptness and courtesy, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the hotel’s grounds and mechanical areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Keep detailed and orderly records of all maintenance activities.
Your Toolbox
A high school diploma combined with technical or vocational training sets you up for success in this role. While hotel experience is a plus, it’s your general knowledge of carpentry, painting, and electrical work that will shine. Effective communication, a professional demeanor, and the ability to make independent decisions are key. Strong lifting abilities are also essential as the role involves handling loads of at least 40 pounds.
