Overview:

The housekeeper position maintains a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. Housekeepers refresh rooms for guests continuing their stay and thoroughly clean rooms for guests who have checked out, preparing them for the next guest.

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly clean guest roomsincluding: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.

• Uphold Omni Safe and Clean processes.

• Restock and replace used items within guest rooms.

• Communicate each room's clean statusupon completion.

• Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms.

• Stock the supply cart and keep it neat and well organized at all times.

• Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order.

• Maintain a professional, neat, and organized appearance in line with Omni Las Colinas standards.

• Respond swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety situations. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury or accident.

• Attend allrequired department trainings and meetings.

• Perform any other duties required by management.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.

• Prior housekeeping experience or other relevant environmental services experience required.

• Stand or walk for extended periods or for an entire shift. Frequent bending, overhead reaching, and squatting required.

• Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

• Must be able to handle stressful, busy hotel operations. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.

• Must report to work on time and as scheduled.

• Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.

• Must meet appearance standards and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all times.

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
