About Us

We are a rapidly growing Toronto-based catering company specializing in corporate catering, BBQ catering, and commissary production. We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support our Team in leading daily kitchen operations, food production, and event execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily food production and prep operations.
  • Lead and mentor cooks, prep cooks, and kitchen assistants.
  • Ensure recipes, portioning, and presentation standards are maintained.
  • Assist with menu execution for corporate and special event catering.
  • Manage inventory, receiving, and food rotation procedures.
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Assist with scheduling and labor management.
  • Support packing, loading, and event execution when required.
  • Help control food costs and minimize waste.
  • Ensure production deadlines are consistently met.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years culinary experience.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Catering, banquet, hotel, or commissary kitchen experience preferred.
  • Valid Food Handler Certification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually
Expected Hours: 44–50 hours per week
Work Location: In-person (Toronto, ON)
