As a Porter, you are often the very first person guests meet when they arrive and one of the last people they see before they leave. One moment you're welcoming a couple celebrating a special occasion, helping them settle into their room and sharing your favourite hidden spots in the city. The next, you're assisting a family arriving from overseas, arranging transportation for departing guests, or helping a colleague during a busy check in rush.

Throughout the day, you'll be moving between the lobby, guest rooms, and the streets of Amsterdam, acting as a host, guide, problem solver, and ambassador for both Kimpton and the city itself.

While luggage assistance is naturally part of the role, being a Porter at Kimpton is about so much more. It's about reading people, anticipating needs, creating connections, and making guests feel genuinely cared for from the moment they arrive.

You enjoy meeting new people and naturally make others feel comfortable. You're energetic, proactive, and happiest when you're helping someone. You don't wait to be asked twice and you take pride in finding solutions. Whether you're giving directions, arranging a taxi, carrying luggage, or simply sharing a warm conversation, you understand that every interaction matters.

Because you'll be welcoming guests from all over the world, confidence in English is important. Additional languages are always a bonus.
