Accounting Supervisor

Overview:

The candidate willassistthe Director of Finance, Controller, Assistant Director of Finance and Accounting Manager to help oversee daily accounting operations focusing on timeliness and accuracy of information reported to the property Executive Management Team and Corporate Office.

Responsibilities:

• Strong communicationskills – both written and verbalrequired

• Strong customer service skills

• Previousexperience in a customer service position preferred

• Willingness to learn and take on different projects

• Ability to adapt to changing environments

• Must be able to walk, sit, stand, squat, and lean during daily business for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:

• Good oral and communication skills,

• Proficient computerskills,particularly Microsoft Excel spreadsheets

• Good telephone etiquette

• Ability tomaintaina high levelof confidentiality

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret written material such as general business periodicals, professional journals, technicalproceduresor governmental regulations, etc. Ability towritereports, businesscorrespondenceand procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients,vendorsand the public.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, etc.

• Must have the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.

• EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE

• Accounting degree or equivalent combination of related work experience within the hospitality industry and education.

• Previousresort/hotel experience with computerized accounting systems.

• Proficient PC skills particularly with spreadsheet software (Excel) and Property Management System

• While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required tosit and talk or hear.
