Complex Marketing Manager

Overview:

The Omni Hotel at the Battery Atlanta and the Omni Hotel atCentennial Parkwill be positioned and supported by this role of coordinating day-to-day activities and awareness through all types of marketing channels.  This person will collaborate with the Omni Corporate PR and Marketing team on brand initiatives and act as a liaison with key partners in Atlanta. A passion for building long lasting relationships, the creation of unique events and meetings, relationshipmanagement, all things digital, strong writing skills, a collaborative spirit, and attention to detail will drive success in this position.

This position will have marketingresponsibilitiesforboth ofOmni's Atlanta properties, Omni Hotel at Battery Atlanta and Omni Hotel at Centennial Park.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive local creative community awareness and build customer fan base who support and partner on happenings and programming

  • Leaddriverfor all partnerships creating a unique environment for vendors toshowcaseproducts and promotions. Especially through F&B

  • Create brandappropriateand social channel-specific content that draws the attention of the experience seeker and lifestyle enthusiast and generates word of mouth and positive PR traction.

  • Development and execution of promotions and packages thatrepresenta unique lifestyle of luxury

  • Write blog posts, tweets,updatesetc. and post on allappropriate socialchannels with the goal of increasing social traffic to OmniHotels.com.

  • Works with the sales team to drive revenue during need times through unique offerings and events

  • Create and Maintain content editorial calendar.

  • Coordinate ad placement and complete information for magazines, newspapers and any other publication as outlined in the marketing plan.

  • Work withcorporatePR team as necessary or requested toassistthem in promoting the Omni Hotel andsupporthotelin PR events.

  • Maintain effectiverelationshipwith PRfirmandpartnerto evaluate andleveragelocal and national opportunities to increase brand awareness. 

  • Create,developandretainrelationships with local media representatives, photographers, and writers.

  • Active participation in industry,communityand social organizations to increase Hotel's community visibility and enhance involvementperception. 

  • Monitor and engage on various social media platforms, replying to comments, messages, inquiries,complimentsand complaints in brand voice.

  • Act as a liaison in ordering all marketing and Sales related printing projects, such as brochure materials, posters, ads, direct mail pieces, invitations, promotional items, etc.

  • Coordinate all elements for new signage and in-room collateral (to include design, copy,photographyand output). 

  • Collaborate with multi-department contacts to gather and develop content.

  • Develop presentations/proposals/recaps as needed.

  • Provide advertising support for the purpose of generating incremental hotel revenues and local community visibility.

  • Proof and edit all collateral before processing print requests.

  • Manage social media sites for the hotel (i.e.Facebook and Instagram). Keep up with social media trends toPRthe hotel. 

  • Ensure hotel activity and associate accomplishments are brought to the attention of the corporate offices and mentioned in company publications. 

  • Assistwith communication management and message counseling ina crisis situationand act as a liaison forcorporateexecutive team.

  • Ensure that listings in all directories and magazines areaccurateand current. 

  • Maintain current information on websites forhotelwith ecommerce.

  • Evaluate advertising opportunities whenappropriate.

  • Coordinate hotel reservations in conjunction with trade agreements andmaintainrecordof complimentary stays. 

  • Promptly respond to all media requests, provideaccurateinformation, offer imagery and quotes whenappropriate.

  • Act aspointof contact for photography shoots. Coordinate shot schedule, blockspaceand notify necessary departments.

  • Handle all billing for the required activities within the role.

  • Complete VIP welcome cards and amenity requests for all media and marketing related guests.

  • Maintain organized,neatand properly coded filing systems for all marketing, sales, and PR related files. Files must be current and chronological.

  • Generate purchase orders for all Sales and Marketing related items. DOM approvalrequiredbefore order is placed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong networker with natural flare for event planning and programming.

  • Connected to the local scene or strong knowledge of what is locally relevant.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication,grammarand editing skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Basic image editing skills.

  • General understanding of HTML and digital environments

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing,businessor related field, with 2 – 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education.

  • Excellent working knowledge of all primary social channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, and Pinterest.

  • Knowledgeof andexperience with Hootsuite and/orTweetdeck,Wordpress, and Google Analytics and native social channel analytical tools would beadvantageous.

  • Aptitude and eagerness to understand Content Marketing,Social Mediaand Mobile in a brand environment.

  • Minimum of four years’ travel,lifestyleor brand marketing/PR experience.

  • A background in food, music, entertainment a plus
