The Hermosa Inn

About the company

Tucked into Paradise Valley, The Hermosa Inn began as the personal home and studio of Lon Megargee — the artist who gave the American West some of its most enduring imagery. Today, that spirit of craft and intention defines every corner of the property, from the sculpture garden to LON's, our flagship restaurant and one of the most beloved dining experiences in the Valley.

As part of The Arizona Hideaway Collection, we operate with the independence of a boutique property and the ambition of a destination brand — a rare combination that makes for a genuinely interesting place to build a career.

Why people like to work here

'This isn't a place where you clock in and clock out. You're part of something that genuinely cares — about guests, about the land, about the people who work here.'

— Jon Dils, Managing Director of The Hermosa Inn & LON's, 10 years of employment at Hermosa Inn

'The scale of the property means I get to see how every decision plays out in real time. That kind of ownership is hard to find.'

— Pam Swartz, Director of Guest Services, 15 years of employment at The Hermosa Inn

'We take hospitality seriously here, but there's also a warmth to the culture that makes it feel like home. The history of this place is something you actually feel.'

— Lisa Sterns, Director of Sales, 1 year of employment at The Hermosa InnTraining we provide

Training we provide

Joining the team comes with a structured onboarding that goes beyond systems and spreadsheets — we want you to understand the property, the guests, and the culture before you're deep in the work. From there, growth looks like access: access to leadership, to cross-departmental conversations, and to continuing education opportunities that keep your skills sharp.
