We are seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for processing the company's payroll and related journal entries for accounting records.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Job Requirements

• Evaluate payroll data
• Monitor income statement accounts
• Prepare journal entries
• Assist with monthly financial reporting
• Reconcile and analyze payroll affiliated balance sheet
• Record payroll entries in the general ledger
• Process payroll, taxes, and wage garnishments
• Assist in any special projects

Job Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and work with a high ethical standard 
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement 
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations

The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
