Description

We are looking for part time team members to fulfill the role of Dock Attendant at Lake Austin Spa Resort. This individual should be a good swimmer, comfortable assisting guests check out kayaks, paddleboards, and hydrobikes as well as inform guests of basic water safety. Assist boat captains with docking, loading and off loading guests in a very safe, friendly manner. Keep dock orderly, neat and fun! Needs to be able to lift, move and launch equipment as well as have a keen eye to maintain a very clean, neat environment. Must be excellent in guest service, friendly and a team player. Dock is open 8:00am - 6:00pm, 7 days/week.

Must be personable and have the ability to interact comfortably with our guests.

Must have excellent customer service skills.

Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.

Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Water safety training and familiarity with Lake Austin is a plus.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform additional functions according to the needs of the resort and as assigned by management. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Support Front Desk team as needed with luggage and/or other guest related needs
Support Food & Beverage team as needed
Support Housekeeping with laundry tasks – folding towels, restocking guest areas, and other guest related needs

We are located at the end of Steiner Ranch on S. Quinlan Park Road, Austin, 78732. Take the time to check our location before applying to be sure you are willing to commute here. You must have reliable transportation as we are not on a public transit route.

Requires standing for extended periods of time, walking on terrain which varies in surfaces, levels and textures, bending, reaching, carrying, and occasionally lifting and/or moving objects up to 30 pounds.
