Description

As a Staff Accountant at Island Hospitality Management, you will be responsible for the management of the P&L statements and overall accounting activities of the company's portfolio.

This position is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Prepare and review hotel P&L's monthly
Prepare monthly accruals
Perform account analysis
Research and correct accounting discrepancies
Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts and provide supporting schedules
Prepare and adjust journal entries in JD Edwards
Meet month, quarter, and year-end closing deadlines

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Two Years of Experience in Accounting Microsoft Office Suite Experience Required
Strong Analytical Skills
Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written
ProfitSword and JD Edwards Accounting Software a plus.
Prepare and adjust journal entries
Knowledge of posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
Ability to meet month, quarter, and year-end closing deadlines
Ability to research and correct account discrepancies
Ability to reconcile and balance general ledger accounts and provide supporting schedules
