Overview:

TheBellpersonis responsible fordelivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service,anticipatingand delivering guests’ needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain bell carts via cleaning and routine maintenance, working with Engineering when needed.

  • Use friendly andappropriate expressionswhen engaging guests.

  • Supervising the bell staff and ensure they perform their duties efficiently.

  • Assistin making reservations for restaurants and limousines for our guests.

  • Ensure the delivery of parcels, mail, and special deliveries to guestrooms.

  • Ensure that the bell storage closet ismaintained,cleanand tidy.

  • Follow-upwith guest complaints to ensure that any problems are resolved.

  • Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Utilize bell carts effectively and with caution.

  • Ensure Lobby Presence when on shift.

  • Direct guests to the Front Desk or meeting rooms.

  • Call taxis and/orshuttlefor guests as needed.

  • Assist, retrieve, and load luggage for guests.

  • Notify the Front Desk and Guest Services of VIP arrivals whenever possible.

  • Engage in conversation with as many guests as possible.

  • Aid guests inlocatingother areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).

  • Train new bell staff members on the proper procedures and protocols of the hotel.

  • Maintain daily belllogfor all arrivals and departures.

  • Send a daily email with any information necessary for the next shift. Inventory toolsofthe trade.i.e. radios, door stops, bell carts.

Qualifications:

  • Previousluxury hotel experience isrequired.

  • Ability to stand for the entire scheduled shift.

  • Customer service oriented, ability to multi-task, detail orientation, and excellent organizational skills needed.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates and guests in person or via a cellular telephone/radio.

  • Knowledge of the surrounding area andall ofits attractions.

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights,weekendsand holidays.

  • Highly developed customer serviceskills;possessinga friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proven ability to engage guests at all levels. Must be passionate about providingwarm,engaging and personalized service.

  • Candidatemust be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.

  • Mustpossessthe ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability tomaintaina positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.

  • Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.

  • Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.

  • Must meet standards of appearance andmaintaina high levelof personal hygiene at alltime.

  • Clear,concisewrittenand verbal communication skills.Candidatemust be comfortable speaking to guests. Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.

  • Computer literacy toinclude: Payroll systems
