Position Overview:

This position ensures that assigned public space including pool deck, parking garage and guest room floors are kept fully stocked and clean to provide support to Guest Room Attendants while maintaining Omni standards and exceeding our guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Retrieve soiled linen and garbage from Guest Rooms and Room Attendants carts and/or storage closets to dispose of through the linen chute or dumpsters.
• Maintain hallways, reporting maintenance issues and special cleaning assignments (i.e. carpet cleaning or repainting areas).
• Deliver guest amenities or special requests to guest rooms (i.e. rollaway beds, baby cribs, refrigerators, toothbrushes/toothpaste).
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly projects as assigned by Housekeeping Managers/Supervisors.
• Clean stairwells, elevators and hallways free from debris and room service trays.
• Maintain housekeeping supply storeroom by organizing new supplies upon delivery and restock of floors.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
• Daily cleaning and upkeep of pool facility and parking garage.
• Organize the lounge chairs in an orderly fashion.
• Maintain the lounge chairs with weekly cleaning.
• Supervision of the cabanas and towel hut operations.
• Ensure guest safety by enforcing all rules and respectfully assist guests/members upon request.
• Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including sweeping, mopping, deep-cleaning utilities, and dusting.
• Provide exceptional guest service.
• Attend monthly department meetings and company required training.
• Provide clean pool towels and remove dirty towels, placing them in laundry chute.
• Open umbrellas at the beginning of morning shift, and close umbrellas at the end of afternoon shift.
• Patrol pool area and remove all trash.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates and guests in person or via a cellular telephone/radio.
• Must be able to read and understand daily work assignments
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability and willingness to stand for an entire shift, doing repetitive work.
• Ability and willingness bend, stretch, reach, and push moderate to heavy weight.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable in and around pools.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain certification upon hire.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
